We collect information in two ways:

Automatically collected data — When you visit icetea.ca, our servers and third-party services may automatically record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and time spent on pages.

We do not operate user accounts, collect names, email addresses, or payment information directly through this site.

Do Not Track (DNT): Some browsers send a DNT signal. We do not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no universally accepted standard for how to interpret them. Our consent banner gives you direct control over what is collected.

We participate in the Google AdSense program. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. AdSense is only loaded after you consent to advertising cookies.

We use the information collected to operate, maintain, and improve icetea.ca; analyse traffic patterns and popular content; serve relevant advertising through Google AdSense; and comply with legal obligations.

As a Canadian-based site, we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, Quebec's Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25 / formerly Bill 64).

You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and withdraw consent for non-essential data collection at any time.

Quebec residents may also request portability of their personal information and request de-indexation or deletion where technically feasible (right to be forgotten).

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We do not send commercial electronic messages (CEMs) to visitors of this site. If we ever introduce an email newsletter or marketing communications, we will obtain your express consent before sending and will include a clear unsubscribe mechanism in every message.

Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained for up to 14 months, depending on the data retention setting configured in our Google Analytics property (GA4 default is 2 months; we have extended this to 14 months). Cookie consent preferences are stored locally in your browser and expire after 12 months. We do not maintain server-side databases of visitor personal information.

Our site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
